"We added a trip to stay at Lumley Castle at the end of our Scotland trip because of the similarity to our last name. I'm so glad we did. We stayed in a State Bedroom in the Castle. Because they had no events scheduled for the night we were there we were allowed to explore. It is so well preserved. It was a magical place. One of the staff, Jack took his break to give us a small tour and tell us some ghost stories. The bar was welcoming, High Tea was all we wanted it to be and dinner was excellent. Our trip to the castle was one of the highlights of our trip. I would suggest getting a cab or uber from the train station to the castle. Its quite a walk."
