"This was by far the best room we stayed in during our entire Scotland trip! It's a bit far and difficult to access Edinburgh if you don't have a car, we went to a car park half way there, and ubered into town. (I don't like driving in downtown Edinburgh, the pedestrians are crazy!) The restaurant is best for breakfast. It was calm and quiet. But the stairs! No elevator, so beware! "

"Black Ivy is a lovely hotel in the center of Edinburgh right next to the Meadows. Its interior and exterior design is wonderful and artsy, with photography in the hallways and rooms. It's really a gem. Our room had a gorgeous park view out to the Meadows and onto the lovely skyline of Edinburgh. The room was clean and modern and had all the amenities (shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, etc) and it is ecofriendly. The staff is excellent and super helpful. We had a great stay.
