"We stayed at Fryingpan for 5 nights and it was truly lovely. The shared bathrooms are very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast every morning was western style but delicious. A very short walk to the Annupurni gondola and lifts. Above all of the wonderful accommodations were the lovely people and staff we met while staying there. I cannot say enough good things about the hospitality and the friends we met while staying there. Amazing place run by wonderful people. "

It's a 10-minute walk to the Annupuri Gondola, had a cute little bar on-site for great apres drinks and a food cart that was there each evening. "Fantastic stay at the Cottage. Stayed for 7 nights with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Sakoto and the staff were absolutely amazing, were so helpful. Helped clear all the snow from the car every morning and the driveway. Would highly recommend a stay at the cottage. It's a 5 minute drive to the slopes, would recommend having a car to get around. "

"We had an amazing stay. The food, the staff, and the whole vibe of the decor are incredible. What a cozy, lovely spot. I know the harsh winters can be hard in a property, but I would suggest they do some minor maintenance (wood paneling on private outdoor onsen area, rust on private porch railing, wallpaper in entrance area) to ensure this amazing hotel can stay around for a long time! "Beautiful property and facilities with high-end finishes and design. Excellent food (breakfast) and good restaurants. Only downside is that there is no walkable "local" area to explore. The hotel is self-contained but isolated, and one needs to take the shuttle to Hirafu to be in town. That said, it was a wonderful place to ski in and out of, with fantastic service and amenities."

"Loved everything about the hotel and Niseko ski experience. My only suggestion is to add ski racks/tubes on the outside of the buses to make it much easier to transport back and forth to the ski area. Having your skis stacked on the front seats is inefficient and causes damage to the skis. It would be so much easier if there were racks on the outside of the buses. See Aspen or most US resorts for ideas/pictures"

"A bit outside of the center of Grand Hirafu village but easily walkable. You have to go uphill a bit to get to the resort. The property itself is beautiful. Ideal for 6 or 7 guests (3 couples). Full kitchen but without salt/oil/spices so brine no your own if you plan to cook. Tsubara Tsubara right next door if you want amazing Japanese curry. Staff drive us back to the Chitose bus pickup on checkout. Would stay again if traveling with a small group. "

The host offered to let us wait in the lobby for a taxi, and when he found that we could not get one as it was late at night, he offered to drive us to the nearest 7-eleven, in his personal vehicle, after hours. "Stumbled onto this place when I could not find a place slopeside. Lucky to have done so. Better to be here just off the center of town with much more to do than slopeside. Place was immaculate and exquisitely thought out. Cannot imagine a friendlier more helpful staff. Eateries were well thought out and designed, and a lot of fun.
