"We had an excellent time at the Garland. The pool area bar and restaurant are great. It was a pleasant change from staying at the usual Universal City area hotels on the hill. The shuttle to a universal every hour was convenient. We would definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to the area. "

"The surrounding area was not the best but there was 24 hour security so we felt safe on the property. There was ample parking so we didn’t have to worry about coming back late and it was easy to go out for a few hours and co e back. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. "

"The service at this location was great. We were welcomed with great kindness and constantly greeted. Check-in and check-out were both easy. The cleanliness was acceptable but it could definitely be cleaner. Shower head had a lot of build up and did not drain well. The complimentary toiletries were a miss, the bar soap had black stuff on it. Found a little friend in the bathroom, thankfully dead but none the less. Bed was okay, top comforter was very pilled and we did find a dead spider...
