"Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful well kept gardens with landscaping that provided lots of natural shade around the pool areas. Well organized and fun social events and opportunities for excursions from the hotel. Our room was situated on the east side of building overlooking the sanctuary which meant we awoke with a chorus of wildlife including many varieties of songbirds and one lucky evening watching howler monkeys playing in the trees nearby, but not too close! "We had a great time at the property and the food was amazing. I would make the suggestion to upgrade the rooms to a more modern style. "

"Beautiful Place, on the mountain side of the pacific coast, the main staircase from reception down to the first large pool is incredible. Birds, Monkeys, Iguanas--everywhere. Nice people, friendly service, lots of food and drink options. Beach has wonderful shells at low tide and great swimming. Rent a car for your stay and travel on your own to some of the remote beaches to the North--the roads are rough--but the adventure is something you will remember for the rest of your days. Take two big drives--go to Monte Verde and see the cloud forest--don't forget to drink some coffee in Monte Verde's small town on the way out. Then go to Rincón de la Vieja National Park and see the volcano. Just incredible. VIDA PURA"
