Follow the stairs of Eucalyptus Path 10 minutes down to the restaurants, cafes and spa at the historic 5-star Claremont Hotel (or take the more meandering Evergreen Path if the stairs are too steep)! Walk another 2 minutes and explore the shopping, sipping and dining on Domingo Ave, including Berkeley’s best breakfast at Rick & Ann’s Cafe.

On a clear day, panoramic bay and city views fill the living room, dining room and all three bedrooms. Abundant outdoor living space includes a garden patio as well as two large decks with views from the north bay to the south bay, as well as downtown San Francisco, downtown Oakland and downtown Berkeley. This downsloping home is separated from the street above by a walled Japanese garden, giving it a private, retreat-like feel.
The home underwent some technological upgrades August 2022 and February 2023. The living room now features motorized roller shades, please use the remote control mounted on the wall to the left. The HVAC system was replaced with a modern, highly efficient, electric heat pump, offering: air conditioning, heating, and greater indoor air quality via a MERV 13 air filter that can capture smaller mold, smoke, and allergen pollutants in addition to bacteria and virus particles. In 2023, the home's water heater was upgraded from gas to a highly efficient heat pump, bringing this home one appliance closer to being a climate-conscious all-electric home.

While the beds can be configured to allow up to 9 guests our insurance limits capacity to 6 guests. The extra beds are ideal for families with children who don't want to share beds.
The 2 Master suites are located on the lower level of the house and have their own separate exits onto the lower deck. The guest bedroom is on the main floor next to the shared bathroom off the kitchen. It also has its own exit onto the upper deck.
Public Transit does come nearby but your best bet is to bring a car or plan to use car sharing.
The house features three elegantly appointed bedrooms including two master suites. The third bedroom is only a few steps to its own full bathroom. There is also a small fourth “bonus room” attached to one of the master suites, which contains a twin-over-full bunk bed. All three bedrooms and the bonus room have doors onto the decks. The bonus room has smart lock access just like the front door to the house.
