Honestly one of the greatest hotel experiences I’ve had. The entire staff went above and beyond and we had a great time.

I didn’t even get to check in and had to get a refund because the hotel does not have valet and the receptionist who was very rude and condescending when she told me this, said that they have limited self parking and they were full. Basically with an attitude like “sucks to suck”. Luckily I was able to get a refund but now my NYE plans are cancelled =(

The staff is very friendly and funny, the whole atmosphere is relaxed and happy! The design and decor is modern and there is art everywhere! It’s the only place I stay when I visit Oakland

They took away the valet service and parking is across the street so carrying the bags was a hassle. The toilet in the bathroom wasn’t working very well. The room was clean.

The Moxy was near where we spent Thanksgiving, making it a short drive back and forth. Staff was friendly and accommodating. While the rooms are cozy, they are fine for a brief stay. Security provided both by the hotel and the city made us feel comfortable.
