"Location - there is a pick up service from jr nakuro onsen station. You need to notify the hotel in advance for the pick up service. Staff- they are very nice. I got off at the wrong jr station. The next train will be an hour later but the hotel staff was already at the station waiting for me. I was very lucky to get some assistance from a local gentleman. "Lovely hotel. My room was large and had a view of the mountains. The onsen is small but has a nice outdoor pool which was delightful in the rain. Staff don't speak a lot of English but used translators to help. The restaurant is very nice with attention to every detail. I would stay here again."

"The building is very old and smells bad. The room was a smoking room before they made it non-smoking. It smelled. The bathroom was old but clean. The window was sanded glass so it was not possible to check the weather from the room, one had to go outside to check it. The lack of coin laundry is definitely a negative. The stuff is very friend and helpful!"

Sendai City Museum and Sendai Castle is a couple miles walk if you are ambitious enough. 7 11 is right around the corner. Hotel is smaller room of course. Larger lobby area. Has AC that can freeze you to ice in August. It is a nice no frills clean reasonably priced hotel. Be aware the chain has a couple of hotels in the area so use street address...
