"The house is absolutely gorgeous with a stunning view of the lake. The photos on the website don’t do it justice - it is much better in reality. We are an extended family of 8 and it was possible for us all to have our own little ‘nook’ in the house. It has everything you could possibly want - some of us just wanted to stay there while the rest of us went touring. "The property and grounds were good, well maintained and interesting, but there was no air conditioning ,the room was hot, the restaurant, bar and spa were closed. breakfast was adequate but unimaginative. the staff were present but were not attentive. It was as if they had already closed for the season and just going through the motions. a lot of money for just a room. not a great experience."

"For the price this is not fancy, but a comfortable hotel for the price, particularly if you like to be in a walkable area - to restaurants, coffee places, lakefront. We had noise neighbours our first night but once we called the front desk they took care of the situation."

"We returned from dinner, passed the front desk person, walked to the elevator where people had called for it. We all waited. Summoned the elevator again and again and yet it didn’t come. Went to the front desk around the corner and said “the elevator isn’t coming to the lobby” He replied, “ya, it’s broken” As we had waited for several minutes, no sign indicating that it was not working, and he couldn’t even be bothered to tell us that as we entered the lobby. Me have stayed many many times over the years. They renovations and disruptions. But since new management and front desk staff, it has soured our desire to ever stay again. We will not stay there again. This is not the first problem we’ve had, but it will be the last. "
