Room 609. Bathroom tub was not cleaned or either it was stained at the drain. I only stayed one night. If I had stayed more than one night, I would have asked for another room.

The property looks great in lobby & the floors. The pool is excellent for doing laps because although it’s heated it was cool enough so you didn’t sweat while swimming. The hot tub was great because it was warm without being overly hot. The bad thing about where the pool is there’s no sound barrier so the loudness of the traffic is horrendous. You can’t relax or have a conversation when loud traffic is passing. This is the first time I’ve seen a hotel where you have to use your room key to get ice but that’s great because you won’t have kids playing with the ice machine & wasting the ice. Smart. The room was Soo dim it wasn’t inviting or as cozy as it could have been. They calked the bathroom but with a clay color so it looks sloppy. The smell in the bathroom when you have the shower on is horrendous. I have no clue while the water smells terrible. I’ve been to Florida before & never experienced that smell of the water. It was so bad that we thought the bathroom wasn’t cleaned well so we asked to change rooms but they said they didn’t have another available. They had a bunch of baseball teams there to play in a tournament so there were so many kids which some were loud but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. The ironing board padding was a bit lumpy in a certain spot which made it a bit inconvenient to iron. Most of the numbers on the safe weren’t working so it was useless. The bed was comfortable but pillows too soft.

I requested a room change due to being placed in a rom next to a meeting hall and event that went late into the night. My room was changed without much fuss. Although the wait was long, the quality of the lamb dinner I ordered "to go" from the restaurant deserves a Michelin star. Unfortunately, when I called the restaurant to compliment the chef and ensure s/he received a tip, no one answered the phone. When I returned the next day, the restaurant was closed, and I had to leave before they reopened.

Even though we had to stay outside (in our car) due to water cascading down from the ceiling in the lobby, we were offered a refund for the night. We chose to remain for the night in our undamaged original room. The staff was very nice and kept us informed.
