"Our stay at Risonare was awful from start to finish. When we arrived they told us there would be a significant extra fee for our 1-year-old to stay with us (I was pretty sure we booked the reservation with a child included, but regardless, this is the only hotel out of 6 that we stayed at in Japan that charged extra for a child under 2 years old). "The property is on the older, but very functionable. It was great having 3 bedrooms for a family of 5 and there were attractions, supermarkets, transport and restaurants very close-by. It is approx 30mins away from central Osaka by train. There was a washing machine but no drying facility other than the balcony. The TV only supported local TV and we were unable to connect our laptop to it. We had an incident on check-in whereby there was another family in our room. They got the room numbers...

"We stayed in a 4-beds room, all furniture is in good condition. The setting is same as shown. The room has some spaces to open up 2 large suitcases. The washroom and shower room are separate, and towels are provided. I will suggest to add some hooks in the shower room for handing the towels."

"The place is clean, the bedrooms are spacious, the common rooms are cozy, the showers are high pressure, and the staff were very friendly. The only complaint is that the house dog situation was, for the time that I was there, a little concerning. They were quite vocal and unfriendly for the most part, apparently because they were in heat. I believe the staff when they say it's not always like that. But overall I greatly enjoyed Guest House Matsu so much that I kept wanting to spend time there...

"This place was very spacious and had everything we needed. 2 separated bedrooms, but could turn into 1 if needed. Kitchen was great, laundry share with bathroom, separate toilet. Very clean, private, convenient location in quiet neighbourhood. Easy check in. Felt safe and was just a really pleasant place to stay! I couldn’t work out the projector but we didn’t need it. Better than a hotel room as the kids had a bit more of space to occupy. Will book again if we are back in Osaka."

"Great location and property. Easy to check in and out. Couple suggestions: explain the elevator doesn’t go to 6th floor. Americans/hawaiian don’t travel light. Thankfully I was prepared and did, but carrying luggage up the small stairs would’ve be difficult. There should be directions in English to use the washer/dryer. "
