"A self check in hotel, we never saw a member of staff over the 2 days we were there but the hotel runs amazingly. Rooms have everything you want, spacious and very clean. Brilliant shower and hairdryer. Breakfast is self service with plenty of continental choice. You can make a hot drink ay time of the day and either sit in the lounge area or take it back to your room in proper cups. Would definitely stay here again."

My biggest praise goes to the staff who went above and beyond helping me after I injured myself and needed a lot of assistance, outside of normal hours too. "After two-week adventure, we stayed our last night in Europe at Hotel Hofbalzers. After a long driving day, we were happy to stretch our legs with a walk through the neighborhood to the old church and castle, both in view of the balcony off our hotel room. Then, we enjoyed a very nice dinner on-site at the hotel restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful; the room clean and comfortable; and a lovely breakfast to send us off. Highly recommended!"

No dining option for a Sunday night but we were able to find a restaurant at the adjacent shopping centre. "Perfect little gasthaus in Old Chur. Very easy and safe 6 min walk from train station. Hotel is a gem, perfectly clean and comfortable, in a great location, and historic atmosphere! Please note there are no lifts (as clearly advertised) if this is an issue for you. I found the stairs no problem. Breakfast was delicious. Also had dinner in the restaurant and it was amazing. Highly recommend if you want an experience that’s not a chain hotel. "
