"The place is beautiful, great views and the room was spacious, clean and a comfortable bed. The only downfall of the hotel is the location. Yes, there is a water taxi that takes you across. Timing doesn’t always work out and the bus times aren’t ideal or the location to catch it from. We probably didn’t research the distance to Queenstown centre very well. It would be ideal for the Hilton to offer a shuttle. "

The Lake House is comfortable and situated very close to the lake. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it's close to walk and get a better view down the lake or up towards the mountains where sections of LoTR was filmed. "Let’s start with the positive, the view to the lake and mountain was spectacular. Room was spacious and were able to make our meals in the room. Though situated on the main road, couldn’t hear the cars. Could update shower head. Fix the dripping toilet. The constant slamming noise of the fire doors at all hours was frustrating. Don’t think it’s suitable for families with young kids. No outdoor activities at the property. The carpark at the top, by the hedge needs a barrier against the front...

"This place is a clean and immaculate with kitchen fully stocked with cutlery. The staff are nice and helpful. This place is in walking distance to the historic Arrow town center."
