"Being right on Canal and around the corner from Bourbon was great. The staff were helpful. Only 2 complaints. First the ice machine was out of order on our floor but I just went to the next one so that wasn't a big deal. The other thing was the pool could use a better filter. It had a haze to it. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. "

"I thought the location was perfect. It’s a block off Canal Street, so you can quickly cross over and you’re in the heart of the French Quarter, but it’s quieter being right on the edge of the Central Business District. The St. Charles streetcar also has a stop right outside the hotel, other streetcar lines are about a block away on Canal - we hopped on streetcars and easily hit up the Garden District, Art Museum (sculpture park is worth a visit!). The hotel itself is small and well-decorated. There’s a little bar/restaurant off the lobby. As others have said, rooms are tight (may have had to do some acrobatics in the bathroom to freely get around!), but ours was nice and clean and we didn’t spend a ton of time in the room anyway, so no complaints. "
