La Maison has high ceilings which adds a grand scale to the bright, big, and cheerful interiors, large windows, classic trim molding, and Victorian details which define the character of this 1,700 square-foot home originally built in 1903 and remodeled in 2013.

The breakdown of sleeping arrangements:
• 3 queen beds, one in each bedroom
• 1 queen sofa bed in living room
• 2 single trundle beds in the private sunroom
• 1 full-size blow-up mattress in the back bedroom closet

The entry sunroom has something for everyone: a four-top table, plenty of games, and a twin-trundle day bed.

The living room with a sectional-queen-size sofa sleeper offers plenty of seating around a large, flat-screen smart television with Max and Netflix. There's reliable cell reception, Bluetooth sound system, and fast WiFi throughout the house. The DIY photo booth props add another layer of memory-making.

The gourmet kitchen is a guest favorite, offering granite countertops, a farm sink, a stainless steel refrigerator, a 5-burner gas range, quality dishes, cookware, utensils, along with dishware for the kiddos and wine glasses for the grown-ups. It's all there! Kanaloa's sustainable Seafood Market is just around the corner, too, so be sure to check out the fresh catch of the day for tonight's home-cooked meal.

The dining room seats up to 10 people at a long, wooden table with custom lighting overhead creating a warm ambiance. Not cooking tonight? There are renowned restaurants with locally sourced ingredients along with outside dining on the State Street Promenade, a theatre, and a great shopping in Paseo Nuevo Mall a block away.

Two guest rooms with queen-size beds share a Jack-n-Jill style bathroom with dual sinks and a walk-in tile shower. The third bedroom features another queen-size bed, generous sized closet, and a door to the back yard making it perfect for anyone seeking a little more autonomy with a private entrance. In this closet, you'll find a full-sized blow-up mattress, the pack n' play portable crib, and a table chair (like a high chair without legs). The second full bathroom adjacent to the kitchen offers an authentic claw-foot tub with a drenching shower head. 

The professionally landscaped backyard boasts a large patio and peaceful space surrounded by a tall, private fence and a massive century-old avocado tree along with a fruitful mandarin orange tree. Please pick the fruit when in season (which is basically always)! 

Whether enjoying gathering together around the extended, outdoor dining table that seats up to 10 or just soaking in the hot tub after hours, the backyard space is private, shaded, and offers plenty of off-street parking (between 3 and 4 vehicles). The hot tub is fully enclosed with a latched gate for safety.

For security reasons, we use a surveillance device (Nest cam and doorbell) in both the front and back yard. The hot tub is within the coverage area of the device. There are no surveillance devices inside the house.

Also across the street from La Maison is the Spanish Mission style outdoor shopping mall Paseo Nuevo, which offers everything one can imagine in the way of regionally sourced food, theater, museums, and handcrafted keepsakes—don’t miss out on the monthly Maker’s Fair!

Enjoy our Farmer's Market, a few blocks from the property, full of local organic veggies and fruits and unique flowers, every Saturday morning and Tuesday afternoon.

A short walk or quick ride on the Santa Barbara Trolley will take you down to popular Stearn's Wharf, East and West beaches, Los Banos swimming pool, and the Harbor where you can see sailboats from all over the world.
