Arabella Alpenhotel am Spitzingsee, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (92)
"Beautiful, scenic area and we couldn’t be happier with the Arabella! Our room was good sized and clean and we received a lovely welcome gift upon arrival. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We also loved the breakfast and restaurant options! Great food and lots of choices. I do wish there were more options of red wines by the glass though. The views of the lake around the hotel are amazing, highly recommend the walk around the lake. There’s also a great pool and spa area. "

Das Tegernsee
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (186)
"This is a really very nice hotel with absolutely superb staff and a wonderful spa. Breakfast is excellent and the view from lake-facing rooms amazing. Why four, rather than five stars? First there is no room service. The reason given for this is that the hotel is spread over a large area and the hotel does not want to deliver sub-standard food. Fine, but if Deliveroo etc can deliver piping hot food across a town I’m sure this hotel could do perfectly decent room service if it wanted to. More...

"The picture of the property is misleading. It’s actually a hotel with an entrance in the fast food place! The property is also fenced off at this time for renovations! So my review is timely and might change! The actual ‘Hotel room’ was fantastic with great views of the valley from the balcony! We were in room 308, but the elevator goes actually DOWN to the third level??? I guess the EG (Mainlevel from the store and Restaurant) is on level 4. "Our room was very clean and remodeled well. We were only staying one night so we booked the cheapest king bed room. This room #24 was an attic room which had no windows except for two skylight window on the ceiling. Didn’t have screens and it rained that evening, so we closed them. That made the room very hot and stuffy. Other rooms had balconies and I’m sure were very nice. Also, they didn’t have small towels for the shower. Breakfast was from 8-10.
