"Not a great start. We arrived, had not received a text re cabin access and nobody answered the phone. When checking with Eungella Chalet we discovered that whoever input the dates into their systems had made a mistake. We had no accommodation for first night - dates a day ahead. Fortunately the lady at the chalet managed to find a one night stay at Broken River 5km away and the wonderful host there, Wen, welcomed us plus said she would work out payment with the cabins. Excellent stay in great central location

"Excellent stay. Great, quick check-in. Secure parking available. Room and bathroom both spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Very quiet and good sleep. Room safe. Kitchen with oven top, microwave, fridge, toaster, saucepans etc. Tea and coffee. Shower had good hot water and pressure. Great central location, short walk to everything. Fantastic pub with good restaurant across the road. Overall wonderful stay. Will be back next time I'm in Mackay!"

"I would stay at this motel again. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was happy. The cleaning staff said hello every time they saw me. I was supposed to stay until the Sunday however with all the rain I ended up leaving on the Friday and the staff in the office were also fine with this. "

"I had an excellent stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect, from the clean and comfortable rooms to the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I was especially impressed when they offered to drop me off the next morning, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!"
