"I really enjoyed staying at Mama Shelter. I was traveling solo and it was fun to be in the lobby and restaurant with all the other people. The hotel room was quiet even though I was on the street side. I loved the location. There's a bus stop across the street. Wonderful market on the weekend within easy walking distance (Broadway Market) and a beautiful park nearby with animals and a restaurant, Hackney Park."

"The host was nice and helpful. The flat was small, but it was all we needed. If you're visiting, you shouldn't spend much time in the flat anyway. The shower was smaller than anticipated, and at the time of rental, had a friendly shower curtain that stuck to you as you bathed. A different material would likely prevent this."

"I enjoyed my stay at this property for almost a week. The close proximity to the train and variety of quick to eat food options helped keep my trip on budget. I enjoyed Vietnamese staples at 3 restaurants as well as the convenience of having a grocery store next door. I worked from the room for 2 days and found the internet to be reliable. "I needed a bed for the night after going to the Barbican and working the next day. The hotel was convenient and the room well priced. I slept well so no complaints at all - the breakfast was a bonus. "

"It’s situated right near a busy street and a night club so it’s very noisy. I stayed during a heat wave and was on the third floor and there weren’t even shades for all of the windows to keep the sun out, so at night time it was so hot and muggy. Just overall not a very nice place to stay. Didn’t find the staff overly friendly either. But it was the cheapest accommodation I could find with short notice for my time, so I guess you get what you pay for. Had some regret I didn’t splash out a bit...
