"Weekend family trip, lovely place to stay, lots to do around Maidstone, lovely breakfast but the bar is very expensive £33 for an orange juice, pint of beer and 2 gin & tonics! Ate in a local Weatherspoons 5 minutes away excellent value, great weekend!"

"The hotel was nice and clean with good rooms and facilities. I cannot understand why you have to pay £50 per night as a holding deposit for your room. The hotel could be like every other hotel and take a ‘swipe’ of you me card and charge anything directly to that. Now, I am £200 out of pocket (for up to 2 weeks according to the staff) until the hotel decides to return this money to me. Completely unnecessary. "Hotel was fine, I guessonly stayed for one night so didn't spend too much time there. However, I don't think that I have ever been made to feel so unwelcome when trying to order a drink at the bar - my experience has always been that the bar is available to residents after hours - not here, at least not without a fuss - so if you're planning to have a few drinks with friends/ colleagues make sue that you finish early!"

A great location, lovely staff, really lovely stay

"My wife and I go to Southend often and found the Hamiltons Boutique Hotel which we haven't stayed in before. We had a message in the morning to confirm what time we'll be arriving which I thought was a nice touch. We had a lovely welcome and being out of season, we was given the Hamilton Suite with a sea view. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and bright with lots of light. The next morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast each. 100% will be out "go to" hotel when we go to Southend now. Great location right by the town but also a short walk to the pier. Thank you."
