As we relax a little bit now over Covid 19 we have changed book in to 4pm and check out to 10am. As always we will message you as soon as the property is ready on your check in day.

'The Milking Parlour' was converted in 2008. It is just 2 miles from the popular harbour town of St Ives, but peacefully located high near the dramatic north Cornwall coast and ideal for exploring the rugged cliffs and country of this beautiful area. The property has slate floors throughout, with underfloor heating powered by geothermal energy from our own boreholes. In addition infrared panels have been fitted to the ceiling in the living room in case you need an extra burst of heat. Also, solar panels make the most of the sunlight to make this a very energy efficient property.
The property has two bedrooms, (one with king size bed, and en suite wet room; the second with twin beds,) family bathroom, kitchen/diner, and large living room with wood burning stove, and a 'hideaway' double bed.
Outside to one side of the property is an enclosed courtyard area, while on the other side there is a garden and large raised patio area with a panoramic view down to the sea - the ideal place to enjoy a barbecue and watch the sun set. there is parking for 3 or more cars.


Bookings: Usually Saturday to Saturday in the main part of the summer, but in early or late season shorter stays are possible. Check out the calendar to see what's available, or send us an enquiry, we are always happy to try and accommodate your holiday.

Amazing cottage.
We stayed here about a year ago and loved it so much we returned and brought family. They also thought it was one of the nicest cottages they had ever stayed in. It’s so well designed and stocked like an actual home. We love the fact you can walk your dogs in rural tranquility or walk to St Ives if you fancy a beautiful day at the coast. A fantastic gem of a place, will definitely return. Thank you.

Magical retreat in the country
Can't begin to say enough good things about this extraordinary home away from home. The place is tucked away on a quiet hillside just far enough from the insanity that is St. Ives in the summer, with a view out to the sea from the upper terrace, yet within easy driving distance of shopping and all the important sights. Spotless, comfortable, beautiful and stylish, everything you could possibly need. Highest possible recommendation.

Amazing Place, Amazing Location!
This place was even better than the pictures. Bigger, more space, newer amenities and everything we needed. The little lane it was down was beautiful. The neighbors were great. Sarah was super responsive and we had amazing time. So close to St. Ives, Penzance and other locales but removed from the center of all the busy areas. If you are ok with little lanes and country sounds and smells...this is the place for you. We'll be back!

Arrived to find a property you can only dream of when it comes to value for money. Huge house, all facilities and quiet! We wished we could take it with us around the UK. For up to 4 people or a large family you could not ask for more. You just need your own transport. Thanks Sarah. Chris & Debra.

A wonderful stay in a gorgeous property

Not ideal sorry.
Nice cottage. The settees were very uncomfortable. Very low to the ground.Being partially disabled my husband drove 9 hrs to home and back on Christmas Day to get me a chair so I could be comfortable. Garden all open so not ideal.. listing states there is a hot tub which we never did find. There was a dvd player which was in the drawer but couldn’t be played.

Highly recommended
A fabulous pet friendly cottage in a peaceful location surrounded by fantastic countryside walks. Only a miles to St Ives and Penzance. Penzance Sainsbury’s is a short walk from a lovely beach and( for electric car users) you can charge for free. The locality has many historic sites, castles and numerous areas of outstanding natural beauty. Once you’ve been to the Milking parlour in Trowednack you’ll want to go again.

Lovely cottage in the countryside. Great amenities and everything you could need. Milk, coffee, tea and bread would be lovely on arrival as it is a bit away from a supermarket and it would be nice to have a drink before exploring the area. Other than that we had a fantastic stay and would recommend it highly. Great communication with owner who recommended places to visit and eat 😄

We had a lovely long weekend here with my partner, parents and in-laws. The house is set up for 6 adults, with a well-equipped kitchen, and large living room - we could have stayed for a week without getting under each other's feet. Comfy beds, two great bathrooms, two patios, bbq, nice country walks with ocean views. You will need to drive or cycle in to St Ives, but we enjoyed being away from the busy town centre.
