"Absolutely amazing stay. From the start when we entered the hotel until the end. Amazing comfortable room, perfect food and loads to do for families. Pool is a must visit if you are holidaying there. Great inspirations for Halloween decoration - which our daughter found very inspiring and interesting. We hope to come back again hopefully for longer then 2 days.Special thank you to great team and amazing service from concierge and restaurant. Great welcome and help from Mrs Jarmila Kubicova. "First impressions are made when you enter a hotel starting with the Reception Staff and both myself and my friend where involved in Hotel Management. So maybe more critical in some areas but The Aztec Hotel was indeed impressive in all areas. The only thing that l was alittle put out over was l wasnt told on check in or during our stay that my Payment for our treatments hadnd gone through due to technical issues with computers.Maybe l could of avoided my embarrassment infront of my friend. Otherwise a great experience infact my daughter and l are coming to stay in September for my birthday "

"Exceeded expectations. The photos cannot capture the true glory of the setting: an extended log cabin nestling in a large grassy area, surrounded by forest. We had beautiful weather, which helped, but even if the weather hadn't been so good I think we would still have had a great stay. Lots to do and see and in the local area: the Forest of Dean, Wye Valley, Coleford and Monmouth within easy reach. We also went swimming and had. a sauna at Keeper's Pond in the Brecon Beacons near Abergavenny - a 40 minute drive. The 6 and 3 year olds in the party had a wonderful time playing outside and exploring the forest, while the adults relaxed, ate outside, sat around the fire in the evening. Catherine, the host, is incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. She came to visit on the first evening to check we were ok. The one upstairs bedroom is very warm in warm weather, but the occupants slept with the stable door half open. The cabin has an unbelievably well resourced kitchen; we even baked a cake! And tv's in every room, although we never really used them. We would definitely go back. It is the best family rental that we have experienced. If you like nature, quirkiness, getting away from it all, you'll like this."
