"We walked from the train station to the hotel and it was too far , very hilly. However, when we reach the hotel it was nice, an older building but clean and well kept up. Up. The food was great in the restaurant. Including one just up the hill from the hotel that was particularly interesting very often"

"Charming pub, clean nice room—sleeps four 4️⃣ if you need. With breakfast—full range from full English, including vegetarian option to just cereal or croissants. Close to walk to town for the Saturday market and down to pond for swans. Lovely, "

"Food was really gorgeous. We had breakfast, dinner and cream tea there. All excellent. Room was very comfortable but small. Hotel garden lovely. Drinks great. Service was haphazard: often had to go inside to seek or give a food order, or request cutlery once food had come etc, as hard to flag someone down once we’d been seated/served. Some staff were welcoming, some were brusk. Hotel in beautiful town and was a lovely place. Overall, would go again. "

Tricia and her family have clearly put a lot of thought and care over the years into outfitting it as a comfortable holiday cottage. She is also helpful with any questions or needs that arise and good about communicating. For female travelers...
