"Excellent food. Fabulous service from reception, bar and restaurant. Beautiful location with amazing views. Friendly hospitable staff. Plenty of parking. Room was comfortable and spacious. It’s an old building with the related issues (you’d creak a bit if you were that old!). The breakfast buffet was limited however the cooked breakfast food more than made up for this. The evening meals were outstanding. We were part of a group of 6 and none of us were disappointed with the choice or quality. "

"Brilliant hotel, always try to stay here if in Chester. Car park for about 20 cars, but Watergate St is a 3 min walk and about £12 for 24 hours. Stayed in the Ascot suite, great size, spotless, all the facilities in good working order. Free WiFi. Lots of space, ealk in shower (very powerful). Best bit, the L-shaped balcony with a superb view of the entire racecourse and beyond. All staff / reception brilliant and friendly."

The room looked to be clean on anrrival but around the edges was full of dust and the bathroom again just needed that little extra touch. Check in was easy and friendly. Bonus was free parking. Just unfortunate the restaurant was closed (we did know about this) Overall we would stay again."

The only down side was someone was hammering on the front door for half an hour at 4.30am which woke us up but will definitely stay here again.
