"Having been a former resident of this neighborhood, I was thrilled to get to stay in this 1920’s gem. It’s been beautifully restored and was way more than enough space for my party of 4 (including a baby). We chose this location due to its proximity to the race course when we visited to run the Gate River Run. It was absolutely perfect in that respect. It’s an historic home, so expect that there will be some quirks. The half bath in the bedroom at the front of the main house doesn’t have an electrical outlet, but then again there are 2 other full baths on the main level to choose from. The bedrooms don’t have closets, but they’ve added some storage solutions to solve for that. The pool is actually a shared amenity with the 2 apartments behind the main house. The property manager, while communicative, isn’t exactly ideal. We received the wrong key codes upon check in which caused a little bit of a delay getting inside (not ideal after a full day of travel being stuck outside on a chilly night for 15-20 minutes). The keypads on the doors are a little problematic; the one on the front door seemed like it was dying the entire time but the handyman they sent seemed to think it was fine. As far as cleanliness, it’s about what you’d expect for an older home managed by a property management company. Walking around barefoot inside made the bottoms of our feet black. There was some broken glass on the front porch and walkway. It was an enjoyable stay overall, though. Would recommend."
