Our room was large enough to accommodate a few nights stay. Had a good size kitchenette, living and bedroom area. The washroom was on the small side, and tricky for little kids to reach the faucets at the sink and shampoo/shower toiletries as they were hung high. Water pressure was great. Room carpets need to be replaced, they were pretty grubby looking. And the pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. Our child crawled into bed with us. So, I wouldn't suggest an adult sleep on it. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel - the food was delicious, service was excellent. Breakfast was also good (though pricey). Everyone was friendly, and my daughter loved the warm cookie upon arrival. We stayed here because our child had surgery at SickKids, which was within walking distance.

Just two comments. The water was only warm and sometimes cold. We didn’t shower in the morning because it was cold. The bed sheets don’t stay in place and get all messed up while sleeping.

Except Ryan the staff was not very supportive. The room had a very depressing view of a back alley or street. The room didnt seem up to the standards that I would associate with Hilton. Overall very disappointing stay especially considering it was a joyous occasion of New Years eve and first year of 2025.

We travel a lot for leisure and traveled to Toronto to see a Toronto Raptors game. We arrived at 3:42, but our suite wasn't ready. Ryan, at the front desk, apologized for the delay and said the room would be ready by 4:30. To make up for the delay, he gave us 4 breakfast buffet vouchers. Our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, and Eaton Centre. The breakfast buffet was impressive, with healthy options such as fresh fruit, eggs, yourt, and favorites my kids like such as French toast, bacon and sausages. We had a late flight, so we left our bags with the front desk and retrieved them hours later. Huge thanks to Ryan for his kindness and professionalism! We have never stayed at a DoubleTree by Hilton before but I am glad we did. I highly recommend the hotel. You won't be disappointed. And, the warm cookies at check-in were a very nice touch!

My favourite downtown Toronto hotel stay, close to everything but feels out of the hub. Staff are excellent and pay close attention to detail. Close to taxis and subway or a short walk from Entertainment District.

The hotel is within walkable distance to a lot of great places (CF Eaton Mall, Nathan Phillips Square, Chinatown, etc.). In addition, you can find convenient public transit options: subway (Line 1) or streetcar (505). The nearby area is safe, quiet, and clean. There’s a plethora of restaurants if you’re looking for a quick bite; many of them open late. Upon checking in, the hotel offers delicious cookies and water. I would definitely rebook this place for my next visit.
