Utterly Disappointed: A Stay Far Below Expectation We recently stayed at the Pinnacle Hotel Waterfront in Vancouver, and I am compelled to express our profound dissatisfaction with what we encountered, considering it an absolute disaster. Despite paying a premium rate of $350 per night, the value and experience were shockingly poor, akin to what one might reluctantly accept for a mere fraction of that cost. From the moment we entered our room, it was clear that the quality and comfort advertised were nowhere to be found. The mattresses were not only old but completely worn out, making a comfortable night's sleep an impossible ask. Similarly, the pillows, which carried an unpleasant odor, were old and desperately in need of replacement. These conditions are not only unacceptable for any hotel but are especially egregious at this price point. Given these circumstances, we found it impossible to justify staying for the duration of our booking. After a single night endured in discomfort, we made the decision to leave and seek accommodation elsewhere, a decision made all the more frustrating by the significant expense and inconvenience it imposed on us. This experience was not just disappointing but wholly unacceptable from a hotel that presents itself as a premium waterfront destination. It's clear that significant improvements are necessary to bring the actual guest experience in line with both the expectations set by the hotel's marketing and the premium pricing it commands.
