"We had a nice stay at Balgownie. We were treated to a complementary wine tasting, the grounds were very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the room (admittedly, we chose the “standard” room) was adequate. The gym was untidy, the AC didn’t work in the gym (nor did the Wi-Fi) and it’s a small gym/pool area. It’s a nice location for exploring the area."

"What a stunning property! Beautiful heritage building with very large rooms- also with a balcony. Staff were amazing- we sat in the lovely restaurant in the afternoon and asked for an off menu item and they graciously obliged! Breakfast is also great- excellent choice and real coffee! Highly recommend and we will be back"

"I rented a room overnight with my disabled older brother. The evening staff were both able to come to our room to orient us how to use the features, and check they were working --showers, lights, phone, etc. and professional manner gave us reasscheerful "

"Good rates, friendly staff. Wish all the rooms had smart tv’s, but I wasn’t t here to watch tv. Rooms are a little worn. Restaurant has the best Chinese. Knox club across the street has good local food."

"Very clean property & spacious rooms with comphy beds & pillows,close walking distance to shops, cafe’s, restaurants & a late night Maccas icecream run is a 2 min walk 😂 staff are very friendly & helpful, definitely recommend staying here & I know I’ll be back if ever in the area:) 10/10 👍"

"This is in a fabulous location and looks like it’s just been taken over. A bit run down but big rooms and lovely setting. Rooms have leaky basin. Cracked tiles and sorry but my pet hate. Hair in the shower drain. I liked it but needs a refresher. "
