"Beautiful location and off the beaten path. Take whatever you want to eat for the stay, cabin has well stocked kitchen. Fishing was so so for the first few days, then it was stocked the last day which improved the fishing. We were catch and released so there should be some for the next guy. Would go back"

"Place was beautiful but is a pets friendly. The place was not cleaned properly dog hair was found all over the sofas and bed also they didn't leave enough supplies. But we love the cavins and the views were beautiful. "

"Cabin is beautiful, as is the acerage surrounding the cabin. The kitchen is roomy with a table large enough to accommodate at least 10 guests. The kitchen is also well accommodated with everything you need to cook for a large group of people. Many hours were spent on the front poorch and the screened porch which are both charming and relaxing areas. Tammy was available by phone when we had questions. Our family throughly enjoyed our time spent at the cabin. We highly recommend this property."

"If you love peace and quiet, this cabin will be your happy spot. It's out of the way with its private slice of babbling creek, lush ferns, mosses, rocks, and birds. Very well appointed, clean as a whistle, and all wrapped in a wonderful porch. We ate lunch along the way at quaint 'Almost on the Lake' and did a simple pasta dinner and oatmeal breakfast for our one-day stay. If you have a novel or jigsaw puzzle you want to finish, there couldn't be a better spot. I can see bringing my grands back...

"We had a fantastic 3-day stay! This cozy cabin is clean, with all the basics you need, including a charcoal grill. It's nestled into the quiet countryside yet conveniently close to town. The rooms and furnishings are laid out well in the small space, so as to keep an open feel without being too minimalistic. The hot tub and other facilities/utilities worked great. Anyone complaining about the stairs to the bedrooms clearly didn't pay attention to the description or reviews - while steep, they...

"Wonderful place!! Very clean! Loft area has a short ceiling - perfect for kids, but didn’t bother the adults.. There was a keurig but no coffee, only hot cocoa, Coffee would be a nice addition. There was a store, a very short walk down the road, which was convenient to grab things that we forgot. Owner was extremely responsive"

"It's very private, with an adorable interior, a really functional kitchen, and a great hot tub. It's close to both Lansing, and if you need more items, it's close to West Jefferson. Would highly recommend this stay!"

"Neat cottage in the woods. Owners are on the property ( in another location) and very nice. Especially enjoyed relaxing on the back porch. A creek is on the property and can be heard from the porch. Perfect for the two of us. Enjoyed going to Sparta, never been there before. Close enough to a lot of places for hikes and antique hunting. All around, the most relaxing stay we have had in a long while. We’ll go again."

"My girlfriend and I were attending a wedding at Sky Retreat. This was a perfect in-expensive booking. Was the perfect lil getaway for 2 nights. The tiny house is right off of the road, making it easier to get to the highway rather than climbing a mountain. Cabin was like 10 minutes from Boone. This lil cabin has perfect views on both sides. The owner stays nearby the cabins, so that’s a plus if anything is needed. Highly recommend."

"This place is a perfect location if you are exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. It has a great patio complete with a hot tub, grill and firepit. Wonderful after a day of hiking! We loved the homey touches such as a coffee bar and book recommendations. The kitchen was well stocked and communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer."
