"This is the sweetest renovated church that is bright and cheerful. Awesome handmade woodwork by the owner. Very well stocked kitchen and spacious rooms. A loaf of bread and sparkling cider were left for us to enjoy. And don't forget to ring the church bell outside! This is a must return for us."

"The cabin was pristine. The beds were comfortable. The shower was clean and large enough. The hot tub was great, and there was a tv out by it, which was nice. The path up to the cabin was a little daunting at first, and it might nit be accessible to a sports car with low clearance, but my compact sedan got up there just fine."

"My husband and I had a wonderful week in this beautiful and comfortable cottage. The outdoor spaces were varied and a joy to the senses--a running brook, lovely landscaping, fire pit, shady and sunny areas, covered outdoor seating and table and more. The large screen TVs were specially enjoyed by my husband and a lovely sunroom was a great place for me to read and relax. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The host was easy to reach, responsive and accommodating. We hope to stay there...

However, I would recommend better housekeeping since cleanliness was good, and would also recommend changing the main room mattress, since it was not comfortable. "A wonderful place to stay! Property was clean, stocked with the necessities, and the location was perfect: About 20-30min from downtown Boone, Blowing Rock, and plenty of hikes/overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The host was kind and communicative, and being right on the New River was amazing--each day, I was able to watch beavers, otters, deer, etc. all from the deck. Grateful I was able to stay here, and highly recommend if you're looking for a spot in Boone!"

"Beautiful location directly on New River. Cabin was well appointed but there was a slow leak at the base of the upstairs toilet. Not sure if the seal needs replacing or the toilet just needs to be tightened up a bit. Also, the seat needs to be replaced or tightened up. I would also recommend replacing the charcoal grill. One of the wheels is broken and wants to fall off when moving the grill. Other than that we enjoyed our stay."

"Hotel is very clean and very close to the main street in Boone. Although is not completely walkable (there are no sidewalks that lead to the hotel and it’s in front of a main road) but location is great. Parking is free (which is great). Breakfast is excellent for the price (quiche, yogourt, nuts, waffles, juices, bacon, sausage, fruits, scrambled eggs, etc) and there is coffee, hot chocolate, and tea available 24/7. We have stayed twice and plan to come back. "
