"This was a late booking as our plans changed. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. The underground parking was great. Nice small suburb of Cologne with nice restaurants and a town square."

"Member of staff was lovely when we checked in, just what we needed after a long drive from Glasgow. We were staying for one night to get the ferry from Harwich the next morning and the hotel was perfect for our needs. Great that breakfast was included as well especially with a wee one and a long day ahead "

"Good off city location hotel with the ubahn stop right outside plus a mcdonalds for emergency food & drink. Free parking, easy access & hotel check in, quick no check out departure. Rooms are quite basic but clean and comfortable. Noise level was not great with other guests making noise and children running round, the thudding noises can be very annoying. Otherwise a comfortable stay with excellent access to dusseldorf city centre."

"I always enjoy staying at the mecure Kaarst. Staff are excellent. My only negative comment is that breakfast is way overpriced, including €7:50 for a cup of make-it-yourself coffee. "

"The stuff of the hotel are not fruendly, they dont speak english except one guy. I have been to this hoteln8 years ago and the service was really good When i request to clean the room, they never do it. I stayed 5 days in the hotel they have cleaned for one day only while i was requesting every day for that. The brake fast finishes quickly and is not variant"

"Hotel was fine, clean enough and had everything I needed. But I stayed over a few hot days, lack of AC meant leaving the windows open. This meant my room smelt like cigarettes from the restaurant below and there's no chance of sleeping before 11 because of the loud people."

"First stay at this hotel and was lovely. Very central location for the city, we visited for the xmas markets and for us we were able to walk to all of them, 2 were just a couple of mins walk away. Also by taking the exit from the rear of the hotel it took you out to the promenade where you could walk along the Rhine. Rooms were lovely, not modern but classic. Shower was great. Only used 1 of the restaurants inside which was nice, also used just for drinks too. Only regret was we didnt get to use the pool as we ran out of time. Would 100% use this hotel again."

Trendy, modern hotel in great location

"This hotel was in a great location close to the train station and one of the Christmas Markets, which was the purpose of our trip. It's also just a few doors down from a supermarket. Hotel was clean, breakfast (not included) was great, and lobby was spacious (hubby hung out here while waiting for me to wake up). Also had plenty of outdoor space, especially for a city hotel. Make sure to take in the view from the roof top deck! A few "negatives" had to do with the actual room. Our room was a little on the small size, even though we paid for an Extra Space room. Didn't like that there were only outlets and a nightstand on one side of the bed. I had to plug my electronics in on the desk which was across the room. Also, not a lot of places to put your stuff. There is a weird "closet" space with some shelves but not enough for 2 of us. I ended up clearing the desk off and putting my things there. Bathroom was fine although a little on the small side. The way the shower is the floor does get a little wet but we've stayed in hotels where that is much worse. Overall we were happy with the value and would stay again."
