Our Cottage was built by British trail-blazer Mark Burton who won an award from the Independent Newspaper, and has featured in numerous "lifestyle" TV programmes including Grand Designs.
This is not rough-living, our Cottage offers 2 carpeted mezzanine sleeping areas with Loft style low Bed frames and double luxury mattresses, 400 thread count bedding, (this involves climbing a stout wall-fixed ladder. Guests should judge if this would suit their needs and abilities), although a studio type Cottage the mezzanines are mostly enclosed for privacy. There is a lounge with a quality sprung double sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen and Bathroom with walk in shower. Underfloor heating throughout controlled by digital thermostat offers a comfortable warm environment for your comfort. Ideally for 4 people but can accommodate 6.
We wanted to share our beautiful home and land which to us is a special little piece of the "Garden of England". The Cottage is separate from the main house and located within a small stretch of woods, secluded from everything except nature set in our plot of 5 acres, an ideal place to relax and enjoy the countryside. It has its own private access to a footpath which leads to some wonderful walks around the area.
There is plenty of parking right by the Cottage and there is a lock up space for bike storage.
We live on site and our is house some 100 metres away and we would be delighted to give you guidance on local places of interest, paths for beautiful walking any any planned trips and where to eat and drink. Otherwise you will be left to enjoy the Cottage and the peaceful setting.
We are happy to provide a welcome pack of breakfast essentials to include milk, eggs, bacon and sausages, cereal, bread etc. We can also provide champagne/prosecco on arrival and even a freshly baked cake! All this and more can be arranged at a charge.

Westerham has been home to many famous people, including Sir Winston Churchill and General James Wolfe of Quebec, they are both commemorated by prominent statues on the Green in Westerham.
Sir Winston Churchill's home Chartwell is one of the National Trust's most visited properties, it is just over three miles away from us and Down House, the home of Charles Darwin, is two miles. Hever Castle, home of Anne Boleyn, is six miles away. General Wolfe’s childhood home, Quebec House, is in Westerham and Knole House and Park, reputedly a calendar house and once an Archbishop’s Palace is seven miles away in Sevenoaks.
Westerham is a well-known centre for cyclists and walkers with many miles of beautiful marked paths through undulating wooded hills. It is a busy and vibrant market town with restaurants and independent shops centred around the Green. The town attracts many visitors for its excellent restaurants and pubs including Italian, Chinese and Indian.
Biggin Hill famous for its WW2 airport is only 1 mile away, boasting a small high street including Express Tescos, Waitrose, Cafe's, Costa Coffee, Hair Dressers, Beauty Salons and a mixture of restaurants. There is also the famous Biggin Hill Air Display which takes place every summer. This years display on 19th & 20th August, if you are lucky you will have your own flypast from the Red Arrows and more!
A car is advisable for your visit to us, however, there are local taxi companies and a bus stop 200 metres away. We are happy to pick up from the airport and stations if required for an additional cost.
Gatwick Airport is 20 minutes away, the Channel Tunnel is just over 1 hour away and two nearby train stations can take you to London in 30 to 40 mins.
We speak English, French and Spanish.
