"Was a bit apprehensive booking this after reading a lot of bad reviews about the cleanliness, however my room was perfectly clean. It’s very basic and definitely a bit tired but is pretty much what I’d expect for the price and type of accommodation. Shower was very bad though, at some points just big drops of water. "We really appreciate the last minute accommodation as our flights from Hamilton Island were canceled due to bad weather. The room we had was spacious, clean and the staff checked in on us in case we needed anything. The room was well equipped and a great location - close to the ferry building and the local shops/restaurants! "

A nice place to visit.

"Hamilton Island is a beautiful place to visit. The island is small, and the free shuttle around it is useful. It is a pricey destination, but the room is very nice. The room is fully equipped with a kitchen so if you would want to get provisions before arriving to cut down on costs a bit, you certainly could. We had a short stay, so we did not get a chance to visit all the beaches, but did enjoy the ones we did. Loved seeing the wallabies, parrots, bats, and cockatoos that roam freely on the island. The snorkeling off Catseye beach was decent, I’d recommend going far out if you are a confident swimmer. There are also pools, ping pong, bowling , and free use of non motorized equipment at the beach ( only saw kayaks, but they probably had other things, we snorkeled so didn’t use them) All in all very nice for a short stay. For a long stay I would pick Airlie Beach as you have more options on things to do."

"Palm Bay Resort, located in the stunning Whitsundays on Long Island, offers surreal views and a peaceful atmosphere. I recently spent 7 days there with my son and loved the convenient location, just a 15-minute water taxi ride from Airlie Beach. While the serene setting is perfect for relaxation, the lack of activities on the island made it less engaging for my active teenager. The food was excellent, but I was disappointed that housekeeping wasn’t done daily. This resort has great potential to become a top destination if the villas were refurbished and more activities were introduced to enhance the guest experience."
