"Overall - avoid avoid avoid. Positives: - Great location - easy to walk into town so shopping and eating options are plentiful, as are experiences like the cathedral, the Commandery and the river. - Travelling with a toddler is always a challenge but Fort Royal park has a lovely playground that is only a minute walk away which was very convenient. Unfortunately, there were far more negatives to our experience: - Upon arrival, the house had not been cleaned. Bed sheets were dirty and slept in, towels were used, the kitchen and both bathrooms were dirty, crockery had not been washed, the washing machine had someone else’s clothes in, there were dead flies on many surfaces, as well as rubbish in the front and back gardens. There were also no supplies for us to be able to rectify this - no dish soap, hand soap, washing detergent etc. It took them 2 nights before a cleaning crew arrived to address the issues which I find unacceptable. - The heating is difficult to use as it is set to an auto setting. The house is directly next to the canal so is damp and with very little insulation and no interior doors downstairs to contain any heat. - The living area is not just compact - it’s very small and the smart TV did not work. - Parking is difficult. There is a space outside but the street is narrow and double parked so you have to reverse down the road. - Overall the general condition of the property is not great which is not reflected accurately in the pictures."
