Cottage in village location with lovely views to the Hambleton Hills and White H

Colton Loft is located in the quiet village of Husthwaite offering accommodation for 6 people in 3 ensuite double bedrooms. Lovely views of the Hambleton Hills. Within easy access of the North Yorkshire Moors, The Wolds, East Coast and Yorkshire Dales. There is parking for one car on the driveway and street parking. A large, well equipped fitted dining kitchen on the ground floor, with patio doors to a small paved terrace area. Upstairs is a large landing with a desk and seating, a large sitting room with tv and an electric stove and comfortable seating, with lovely views to the White Horse on the Hambleton Hills. All three bedrooms have double beds and ensuite bathrooms. Easingwold is the nearest small town (about 3 miles away) with plenty of shops, cafes, pubs, banks etc. There are many good pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area for those in need of a rest from cooking. The village pub is the Plum & Partridge (01347)868642 and is a short walk from Colton Loft. Visitors also like the Fauconberg at Coxwold, the Carlton Inn at Carlton Husthwaite and the Durham Ox at Crayke. There are many places of interest to explore - by car, bike or on foot. A number of National Trust properties within a short drive as well as Castle Howard, a lovely place to visit for the whole family. Sorry, no pets allowed. Please note that the rear patio is enclosed and gated, but there is a POND in the garden beyond, so SMALL CHILDREN WILL NEED SUPERVISION at all times. All the beds are doubles.. Lovely week in York area
We chose this property because it's location allowed easy reach of York, Harrogate and sightseeing opportunities towards the North Yorks Moors. Lovely house in a quiet village. Generous rooms, great facilities. We were late in the season so didn't get a chance to use the outdoors areas but would be great in the summer. No issues, but where we had questions/requests the host responded almost immediately and came round if necessary. Highly recommended

Colton Loft was a fantastic base for our exploration of the immediate area, York and the Yorkshire Moors. The minute we stepped in, we felt like we were on holiday. The set up is great: a big lounge area with fantastic views of the White Horse and beautiful sunsets, a big kitchen diner and three en suite bedrooms. Three generations of our family were catered for brilliantly by this property. There are walks from the front door, and York and the Moors are within a 30 minute drive. Sutton Bank is close: what an amazing view! There is a tennis court down the road as part of a multi use play area and a nice pub within a three minute walk. Yasminas communication was excellent, both before and during the trip: she patiently answered any questions I had. We all had a relaxing and enjoyable break, and Colton Loft contributed hugely to our enjoyment of being in a beautiful part of the world. Thankyou to Yasmina for a wonderful stay: a clean, well thought out and brilliantly furnished property.

Family Reunion exploring York
Colton Loft was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that one would wish, situated in a beautiful quiet village with the helpful host living just next door. The 3 local pubs Plum and Partridge, Carlton Inn and the Fauconberg were all very good. Exploring York was also easy with the use of the excellent Rawcliff Bar park and ride.

Annual Mothers Day Retreat
What an amazing place! More space here than any of our houses and we felt spoilt to have an en-suite bathroom each. Three generations - me, my mum and my daughter had a lovely time here. Parkrun was nearby and we walked to a lovely farm shop to top up our provisions for the weekend. Living room was very cosy and loads of space in the kitchen. It was a shame the weather wasn’t nice enough for us to have breakfast in the garden as it was also lovely - we’ll just have to come back in the summer! Beautiful village in a very peaceful part of the country. Yasmina was a perfect host too. Thank you!

Very spacious cottage located in a quiet village. Equipped with everything that you would need for a holiday. Ensuites were perfect for six adults. Plenty to see and do around the area. Would recommend the Plum and Partridge restaurant in the village. Yasmina was a great host and very friendly. We would like to return to this area and would definitely book this accommodation again.

Fantastic stay!
Gorgeous house and a great base from which to explore beautiful North Yorkshire. Very easy to get to the coast (we visited Whitby), the countryside around the Howardian Hills for pretty villages & lovely, long walks and York, definitely worth a visit (or two!) We highly recommend the local pub/restaurant, Plum & Partridge, for a hearty meal at the end of a busy day exploring. Colton Loft itself was very well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our teenagers (aged 18 & 14) were delighted to have a bedroom suite each which made for an even more peaceful holiday for us parents! Can’t fault anything - thank you Yasmina!
