Whilst very convenient for the town centre , our room was disappointing small and cramped , with very little natural light making it feel very gloomy . Breakfast staff were very helpful , the breakfast itself was fine .

The hotel is a modern hotel in a good location beside lots of restaurants. Staff are very friendly. Hotel has a small car park and costs £15 a day to park but spaces are very limited. There are other parking options nearby. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. Woken at 6:30am on a Thursday from bin lorries emptying bins at neighbouring student accommodation. Overall it was ok.

Loved this hotel, had an ‘inside, with window’ room very quiet. Breakfast cooked to order so no problems. Easy to walk into York. A good choice of eating places nearby.

Great location for exploring York on foot. Parking was available nearby on the hotel car park, which really helped. Nice room. Good breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Really delighted with our stay here. Very comfortable room and welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast. Many options for dinner nearby. Easy walk to the Shambles and the Minster. Very easy to call a taxi to get back to the train station. The staff dressed up for Halloween and the decorations were fun! Edina managed the breakfast area and was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Hotel Indigo in York is located at a very great spot but our experience was mediocre. The bathroom was not very clean, when doors close in other rooms they are too noisy, staff only greet you when you check in and nothing after that and the food quality at the restaurant was medium to low.

Great location, just out of the centre but walking distance for everything. Lovely hotel, tidy and spacious room with all the facilities required plus some extras. Loved the little fridge and dressing gowns. Every staff member we interacted with were friendly and made you feel welcome. Smashing hotel, will recommend to friends and family. Can’t wait to go back.

My first trip to York, so wasn’t sure where would be best to stay but this place is perfect! Situated on Walmgate, I easily walked to all the places I wanted to see, usually in 5-10 minutes. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the staff are welcoming, professional and have great local knowledge, and my room was gorgeous, clean and very comfortable. Would happily stay there again if I’m back in York.
