"The owner is not kind or friendly, I had to wait in rain around 40 minutes before a kind neighbor arrived and helped, no bed is ok but tatami and everything is short, I’m 5’8 only and I had to try sleeping in half moon position, no bathroom attached bed room, at night time you have to go down into a very steep stairs which is dangerous, no taxi can enter the premise and will not come to get you. "We stayed for three nights and it was marvellous. It is a larger, more hotel like ryokan but still has a very tranquil atmosphere, and was great for families like ours. There are two public onsen — they switch between men and women daily — and both are spacious and serene. It was such an experience soaking in the onsen under the stars, looking out onto the mountains. The rooms are spacious and the private balcony bath which fills with hot spring water at the touch of a button is a lovely touch. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both very good for buffet offerings. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to help."

"Excellent onsen ryokan at a very competitive price. You to select three 50 minute sessions in one of the three on-site onsens per day (one in the morning, two in then evening). The staff were friendly and accommodating. It's a bit of a hike uphill from the station but nothing someone moderately fit can't handle."

"Amazing hotel with stunning views of Lake Ashi. All-inclusive resort style, with Breakfast and dinner buffet included. Onsen with indoor and open air pools, all necessary toiletries provided, toothbrush/toothpaste, razors, q tips, combs, amazing skin care products! The Hakone Ropeway is just a 3-5 minute walk. It was a very relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Definitely recommend and would love to stay here again!"
