Gaylord Opryland, also known as Music Valley, is where some of the best of Nashville’s live entertainment goes hand in hand with excellent dining and shopping. Visit concert halls celebrating legendary country music artists who gained fame in the city. Go on a shopping spree at an outlet mall, play a round of golf and tour varied museums.

Attending a live broadcast of America’s longest-running radio show at the Grand Ole Opry is a popular activity for country music fans. Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and numerous bluegrass, country and honky-tonk artists have performed on the show’s stage. Go on a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the stage and dressing rooms. If you are a fan of the television series The Dukes of Hazzard, visitCooter’s Place to see original show memorabilia and an iconic General Lee car. Bring the family for a day of fun at Grand Old Golf & Go Karts, which has three mini-golf courses. Serious golfers can play 18 holes at Gaylord Springs Golf Links and Two Rivers Golf Course.

Peruse nearly 200 clothing, jewelry and sporting goods stores at Opry Mills. This indoor mall features the outlets of popular fashion labels such as Banana Republic and Levis. Appreciate the lively ambiance of a Bavarian-themed beerhall and experience underwater dining at an aquarium restaurant. Madame Tussauds Nashville has waxwork models of past and present music industry stars.

Gaylord Opryland is a 20-minute drive from Downtown Nashville. A public bus service runs between Downtown and Opry Mills. Stay at Opryland’s resort hotels and motels to be a short walk from the neighborhood’s attractions.
