"This place was very smelly,like a mixture of damp and “charity shop” all the furniture was mismatched ,the en-suite was a converted cupboard . We didn’t stay one single night ,we didn’t even empty the car,the owner chapped the door and asked us if we were ok and I said no we’re not staying here because of the smell,and he replied that the farmer had been spraying the fields,I live in the country I know what sprayed fields smell like,this was not that smell. Unfortunately heavy rain the night we stayed led to some leaks in property and bubbling drains in early hours of morning which hopefully can be fixed soon. "The cottage was ideal for our stay in Yorkshire. Great location ... nice and quiet in a pretty village with a lovely nature reserve and decent pub. Easy reach of the Dales, Ripon, York, Harrogate and Fountains Abbey. Easy check in with private parking. The windfall apples were a bonus! Warm and comfy, decent WiFi and TV that worked. We had a small problem with the toilet but Emma got it repaired swiftly and without a fuss. Would definitely stay again. "

"Although free parking is available, it is not on site parking, it's a 7 minute walk away. Access into the property is on the first floor (up a flight of stairs because the lift is out of order). The bedroom and bathroom are down a narrow spiral staircase, so I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues. The booklet in the apartment states that complimentary gin and tonic is available, that was not the case. The fridge/freezer was switched off at the wall and the power was in a hidden...

"We chose this property because it's location allowed easy reach of York, Harrogate and sightseeing opportunities towards the North Yorks Moors. Lovely house in a quiet village. Generous rooms, great facilities. We were late in the season so didn't get a chance to use the outdoors areas but would be great in the summer. No issues, but where we had questions/requests the host responded almost immediately and came round if necessary. Highly recommended"

"Property is well located within walking distance of old city When getting to apartments do not follow google maps as it takes you up steep stairs Keyboard entrance instructions to property could have been clearer with one step missing ie press key symbol to key in code Room itself was good, however bed was uncomfortable, and sofa bed was poor. The pillows are in need of replacing and the instructions of where the linen for the sofa bed was located could have been clearer."
