Gorgeous house with a breathtaking view!
The view was everything you could hope for - even better than the photos! The house was very nice and clean, with plenty of linens and soaps/toiletries/paper goods. It was a great size for two families with a total of 4 adults and 7 kids ages 10-2 yo.

Amazing Views!
Great home for groups who need “multiple primary bedrooms.” There is an obvious primary on the main floor but three other bedrooms with baths make this a great home for multiple couples. The sunrise view is breathtaking!

On Top of the World
We wanted to rent a house in the Lewisburg area with a nice view, and wow did we succeed. The house is located on top of a mountain with an amazing view of the valley below. Almost every morning there was an absolutely beautiful sunrise. The house was spacious and comfortable. The area is a gated community that is in the early stages of being developed. Currently there are very few houses on the mountain. It was very quiet and peaceful. We were a five minute walk from the clubhouse which had an infinity pool overlooking even more of the valley. There are a number of activities in the region. We went whitewater rafting, fishing, swimming, biking on the Greenbrier River Trail, and shopping in Lewisburg, including some very nice restaurants. Thank you to the hosts for providing such an unforgettable experience.

We had a wonderful vacation at this home, the property will not disappoint. The floor plan was perfect for our family. If you forget to bring a kitchen supply, chances are they had it stocked. The drive up didn’t seem as bad to me as it was to others reviews. You would expect a drive up to get views like this house has. Like they say, do not take Laurel lane.

Amazing mountain views
The Barnhouse was hands down the best VRBO in which we’ve ever stayed. We couldn’t have asked for more. Super comfy beds in bedrooms each with their own private bath. A fully stocked kitchen that had all of the necessary creature comforts. The private hot tub and fire pit at the property were awesome, and having the lodge only a short walk away was even better. We look forward to staying here the next time we’re in Lewisburg.

Beauty & Peacefulness in All Directions
The Barnhouse has breathtaking views overlooking Greenbrier Mountain and its sister mountains from the wrapped double decks at the back of the house. While enjoying those views, you can take a dip in the hot tub, dine on either the outdoor or outdoor table, check out the panorama with the telescope, sip your favorite beverage or whatever suits your fancy. The four bedrooms have comfy queen beds and well appointed bathrooms . The kitchen is very well stocked with just about anything you will need & if you wonder whether an item is there, just ask Dan or Sarah. They responded very quickly to our inquiries both before and after we arrived. Whatever brings you to this area, The Barnhouse provides a terrific home base to explore, relax, and feed your spirit!

The views will not disappoint
This property was absolutely amazing! The views, the house, the location (should be warned about the road and possibly a little longer way with a less stressful route). The clubhouse was not open but the pool was so that was great for the sunny days. The owners keep the house very stocked and that is very helpful for families to know for packing purposes. It was so great!

Beautiful views
We stayed in the in the Barnhouse for a long weekend while visiting Lewisburg, activities at the Greenbrier in White Sulfur Springs, and the Renaissance Festival. The location was great. Just a short drive to all of our activities, maybe 15min or so, but the drive up the mountain is quite steep with many switchbacks making travel in the winter hard i would think. We went in the summer without difficulty however. The house has 4 large bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. The bathroom doors are sliding barn doors, even on the main floor which do not give a lot of privacy if you’re not with family, but for us and our children, we didn’t have issues. There were ample towels and toilet paper in the house, and we supplied with a small amount of shampoo. The kitchen is well appointed with a Keurig and tons of coffee/tea/hot chocolate with condiments. The back porch has a gorgeous view of the mountains and was particularly enjoyable in the morning with sunrise, although there is a bit of road noise from the highway, it’s not disruptive at all. There were several board games and movies in the house, with a hot tub outside. The community is large with very few houses built so far, so the community lodge would be all to yourself. We didn’t not have the opportunity to visit it however with all of our activities. Overall, good location with well appointed house and gorgeous views close to lewisburg and white sulfur springs. Would stay again.

Fantastic Views/ top of White Mountain
Property was as described and pictured. Very nice. Thoughtful touches throughout. Subtle notes on light switches, cabinets to get you acclimated quickly. Towels, detergent, robes, dog bowls extra blankets, etc. Decorated tastefully and very relaxing. Note commodes on first floor are 19" high. Also found a toilet seat riser for additional hight for those that need the assist. House is close to start of Greenbrier walking trail, Lewisburg and white sulphur springs. Would stay there again without hesitations.

We loved the Barnhouse. Very comfortable house with many extras such as foil, spices, coffee and more. The neighborhood was fantastic. The road was plowed quickly. It was magical being at the top of the mountain. Only downside was slow internet. Highly recommend.

Really nice but a few issues
We had trouble getting in the neighborhood gate as they were conflicting codes provided. Traveling up the mountain to the house was terrifying for those afraid of heights or of falling (me). The home itself is beautiful and the view is spectacular. We had a great stay, but as I suggested to the host, the living room furniture could be better suited for the number of people the house accommodates. The kitchen could also be better stocked with bakeware, nonstick pans, a mixer, etc. The clubhouse, which is in walking distance of the home, wasn’t in working order, including the hot tub which is supposed to be open year-round. Luckily, the home has one. I was informed that the property has new owners, so with some feedback, hopefully they will make a few improvements. Still a very nice, comfortable place. .
