"Overall this hotel was good. The staff were good especially the pool and beach people, they were amazing. The breakfast was also incredible. The main thing that let it down was the overall condition of everything. It’s just very tired in places and in much need of an update. There were bits falling off the bar roof by the pool and lots of things were broken. In our room hardly any of the light switches worked and we didn’t even want to go near the outside tub, it was just a bit grim."

"Phuket Panwa is a great hotel in a quiet and scenic location. A stretch to call it 5-stars, but it would certainly make a great 4-star hotel. The rooms were dated, but very comfortable. When you have sea facing rooms, just know there's high & low tides. When it's high tide, the view is scenic and serene, takes your mind away from reality. "This is absolutely the best hotel I have ever stayed in or even heard about. It is gorgeously situated on Koh Sao Island on an extended hillside over the ocean, which encompasses 7 hotel buildings over about 1/2 mile, Everything is gorgeously appointed with teak carving throughout. Private balcony with soaking tub. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. Retaurants are wonderful with eacj table open to the ocean, 2 wonderful pools (infinity and waterfall), plus paddle booarding, kayaking, snorkling, visiting monkey islands, elephants -- pretty much anything you want. We are definitely going back for our anniversary."
