Pet Friendly Hotels & Resorts in Farellones

"This stay was part of a dream destination for me. I finally traveled to Easter Island with my husband & son, on my 45th birthday. We stayed overnight at the Sheraton hotel both coming & going. It’s convenient to Jumbo Hypermarket, a short walk in fact, where a Chilean acquaintance recommended I buy my groceries to bring to the island. It all worked out perfectly, better than I imagined. The hotel it’s self is beautiful, staff are absolutely fantastic, the little Spanish we had helped but there was always somebody available who could speak English, which simplified getting answers to our questions, etc. . Hotel restaurant has an extensive menu with lots of plant-based options (we are vegan) clearly marked and affordable. Our rooms were luxurious with breathtaking views of Santiago. The pool / pool rooms are definitely vintage which I LOVE. The historical importance of this hotel to me is as the place where the sixteen survivors of the 1972 Andes plane crash (& insane survival story) reunited with their families following the December 22, 1972 rescue. I am fully obsessed with this story so being in this hotel I’ve read about in all their memoirs, was surreal for me, and on my birthday no less!! "
