"This was my first hotel in Japan. Great value for the quality of the stay. The location has plenty to offer in a walkable distance, including close proximity to the Shinkansen (bullet train). "A wonderful stay. The morning service at the temple was a profound experience. The introduction to zazen was great, though Japanese speakers will get most out of this - ditto the lecture before morning service. "The room was fairly large for Japan, and comfortable, I was on the top floor, non smoking comfort floor. And the breakfast was good. Staff was super. My only complaint is that because some floors were smoking, sometimes the lobby area smelled enough like cigarettes to give me a headache. Location is good for new Shinkansen station. Sidewalks ok."
