"This is, by far, one of the best hostels that I’ve been. Everything is so pretty! The building is vintage (with an interesting background history), and the location is excellent (in the heart of the historic center). The hosts were super friendly and helpful, especially Cristina. The room was very spacious, tidy, and peaceful. The kitchen was great and fully operational. I only experienced a problem with the window (that wasn’t opening) but apart from that, everything was absolutely smooth....

"A very welcoming hotel with friendly and helpful staff . All areas are spotless and rooms spacious and comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and there is one heated pool . Very much appreciated in the winter months ! The hotel is in a convenient position with a short downward walk into Funchal and also benefits from certain areas within The Savoy Palace . Breakfasts delicious .. I could not fault this hotel and would definitely recommend. We will return ! "
