"We had a wonderful stay at the Rafkos mansion. Stelios the owner took us wherever we needed to go and we had delicious meals at one of the local restaurants. It would be wise to have a car because it’s in a village about 30mins. from Heraklion. Stelios is the definition of Greek hospitality! "

"We arrived after a late flight into Heraklion, the welcome was warm with the offer of a cold welcome beer. The room was more than we expected woth plenty of space and good amenities. Morning arrived and we had a fabulous breakfast out on the deck admiring the view over the valley. We only spent a night here bit wish we could have had 1 more. Highly reccomended"

"We actually stayed at Villa Pasiphae for three months when we moved to Crete this spring. The house is spacious and well equipped, even for a stay as long as ours. We spent many hours on the roof terrace, relaxing and enjoying the view. There’s almost always a good breeze, which makes it a very pleasant place to while away a few hours with a bottle of wonderful Cretan wine. "We have just enjoyed 2 weeks at the lovely villa Stella hosted by the very helpful and friendly Alexandros. Immaculately clean and with the basic supplies, coffee, tea, bread, home grown grapes, bread and salad ready and waiting for us on arrival. We were even treated to a bottle of the owners own grown olive oil. Simply couldn’t ask for more. The road to the house is very steep so a good car is essential. Would definitely recommend. "

"I travelled for 24 hours from the US to this property to arrive to a place that didn’t have sheets, blankets or pillows on any of the beds. It was dirty, there was dirt and dead bugs on the floor and also no towels or wash cloths. After traveling for 24 hours, I just wanted to shower and go to bed but there was no way I could do that. "The hotel is great, the car parking place is hard find, but hotel gave us very detailed about city centra parking, saved us money and reduced stress. Breakfast is very good "

We ate a few times in the hotel restaurant. Our meals were excellent. The wine list is short but selective and reasonably priced. The wait staff were highly attentive and professional.
