"Ochiairo exceeded our expectations! The facility, room, and food were all incredible. We definitely got a true Japanese experience and felt like we had traveled back in time. The staff is incredibly attentive and our room was unbelievably beautiful. Loved the onsen experience, authentic food, and the attention to detail. "

"The room was beautiful with a patio that overlooked the lush hillside. The dining area was pleasant and the food was good. The onsen, however, could stand some refurbishment. The hotel advertises late checkout but I was told that 11:00 am constitutes late checkout. This seems like a bit of a scam to me. Made my departure more rushed than a I planned for it to be."

"Nice secluded spot next to a river. You kinda need a car, though they do offer shuttle service from I don’t know where. I think it’s good for families since they have a game room with ping pong and karaoke and pet friendly. I had a Japanese room which overlooked the river! The futons were wayyyy too thin and my back paid for it. There nothing around it so opt for the meal plans. Dinners were okay mainly Japanese style. "Staff is very welcoming; we got a snack upon check-in. We went with the dinner option by the riverside as it was hyped up by youtubers, but we found that the price is not worth the price tag. We paid around $260 for 2 people for dinner. The food could be a lot better to justify the price tag. The room is a bit old. Other than those two points, the environment is nice and room is very clean and comfortable."

"Soaking in the outside bath with a view of Mt. Fuji, eating above average meals are the highlights. The staff, what few of them there are, seem to play multiple roles and do not engage with the guests. There are foreign staff but little to no English is spoken. The staff don't seem to talk to each other when they are in view. Very cold atmosphere at check in and check out and that wasn't because of the weather ! The service was just so lacking !
