"This hotel goes to great lengths to be environmentally friendly. The pool area is beautiful. The pictures in the room are nice. There’s two different areas to play games, and they have board games that you can borrow. They also have a borrowing library. They have a fan in each room. That’s really nice at night. Great gardens just outside the rooms with plant identification there. You can book a massage right here at the hotel. Live music on some nights. Convenient access to a nice restaurant right next-door. Lovely Koi pond, right in front by the reception. New furniture in the rooms and fresh sheets. I enjoyed it here. The area felt safe too. Quick on and off to the main roads to get to the Volcano National Park about 35-40 minutes away. "

"My daughter and I were blown away by the magical nature of our stay. The property is gorgeous and the artwork in the units is spectacular. The chirping of the frogs and the garden’s mini-lights made sitting on the patio in the evening the highlight of our day! Most of all, meeting Kepi and Jim was unforgettable. They are so open, kind and caring and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. "

"Lovely staff who were very helpful. The property was built in 1920 by the grandfather of the young lady who managed the hotel during our visit. She told us that plans are being made to refurbish the hotel. We stayed in the ocean view room where the views are stunning. The hotel does need some modenisation in some parts. "
