"We had an amazing time from the moment we called to see if we could get an early check-in and got the blessing from Megan who gave us the go ahead to come on in as they already a room ready for us. We had a corner oceanfront room and - even on the stormy Rainy day - it was just so wonderful to sit out on the balcony enjoying the view. We were so relaxed and it was just a dream getaway. "This was booked last minute due to a last minute cancellation for another property. Beautiful property especially for the earthy type of individual. It was perfect for my needs however I don’t see people staying here that require more of an upscale type of setting. "First, this property is cool if you know what you are getting into. This is way off the off the grid living. You are staying on a lava field in a shipping container. That is the cool part. It is remote, and just wow for sunset and sunrise. The host, Ron, was nice and communicated well. The location on VRBO makes it appear on Chain of Craters road just near the famed sea arch in Volcanoes National park - a big reason we picked it. "What a beautiful slice of paradise—a little sweet cottage with everything we needed —off the grid (but still close enough to groceries and great restaurants) with excellent hikes and beaches nearby.
