I can't be around myself, so I have a husband and wife team, Tom and Rachael who manage things locally.
Birkenhead is a town on the Wirral Peninsula, along the south bank of the River Mersey, opposite Liverpool. There is plenty to see and do in Birkenhead. Visit Hamilton Square known for the iconic town hall and also many Grade 1 listed buildings. Locally there are also some great beaches, for a bit of sea air.
This property is in a great location just 2 minutes away from the popular Royal Liverpool Golf Club, perfect for any golf lover. It is also located with easy access to Port Sunlight, which is a peaceful Merseyside village founded by a Victorian era entrepreneur to house his workers. Its art & crafts cottages are surrounded by paths winding through fields & woodland. There is a great museum detailing the village’s history as well as tea rooms & cosy pubs – making it a wonderful and interesting place for visitors.
With plenty of shopping opportunities and also many places to eat & drink the location of this home is great. We recommend Yog Bar for something different, maybe try one of their Yogtails!!! There is also a Hickory's Smokehouse nearby in West Kirby for eating. Just around the corner from the house you will find a Sainsbury's, handy for any shopping needs.
Close to both Liverpool & Chester this property makes a great base for your stay.
Chester is one of Britain's most popular places for an unforgettable short break. The ancient city is a truly breath-taking experience. Each chapter of Chester's history is etched into the very fabric of the city. You will walk where Roman Legionaries marched to war, Viking raiders wreaked havoc and Norman invaders conquered Anglo Saxons! Chester has the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, plus a 1000 year old Cathedral with Europe's finest example of medieval carvings - and of course the one and only 700 year old Rows galleries where shopping is a double delight. You'll find stores galore offering the hottest fashion in Chester all set against a background of unique treasures of antiquity and a vibrant cafe culture where outdoor dining and people watching go hand in hand. The River Dee and Grosvenor Park are definite places to visit! Make time too for Chester Zoo, the most visited UK attraction outside London and home to 21,000 animals from 500 different species in acres of glorious gardens or slow the pace down and explore the city aboard an open top bus tour.
There are both bus and train links locally.
