The hotel is ideal for events in Hydepark 10 minutes from Lancaster Gate underground. We booked a compact room and that was an error. The room is indeed compact but the bed is super compact! Not ideal for 2 middle aged people. The air con was welcome and the bathroom was well modernised

Really good location. We were there attending a concert in the park really easy to get too. Also easy to get to paddington for getting around to see the sights. Hotel room was lovely and was clean! We were staying in the basement room in which we had very minimal access to wifi, the walls were covered in damp and it was extremely hard to get down the stairs provided. The bedding spelt like cigarettes and didn’t feel clean.

The property was in a great location but that’s pretty much it. Our AC in the room did not work, when we ordered room service no one told us it would be delivered to the front desk (not room service obviously), and overall was an older hotel. I wish I read the reviews before booking a stay here, the hotel was run down and not up to a 4 star hotel. More like a 2 star hotel. Staff were friendly & had a wide array for breakfast.

As far as convenient location goes this property is excellent. However, it’s a bit frayed around the edges and needs some care particularly the loose carpeting on the stairs, which is a trip hazard. This property has plenty of stairs so be warned. Staff was friendly and helpful, but really couldn’t deal with an issue I had regarding housekeeping, leaving a bag of garbage in the middle of my room when I presented it to the front desk. That was a first…. All in all there are properties in the area. I will try one of those next time.
