"Lovely clean spacious apartment. Kitchen has everything you need. Bedding/towels changed every 3 days. Staff friendly and helpful (2 issues which were both fixed within a couple of hours). Pool area clean and plenty of sun beds. Apartments near train station and Mercadona. 5/10 mins walk to beach and restaurants/pubs/shops etc. "

"Recently refurbished, very comfortable room. Pedro the manager was excellent and very helpful. Pool area better than in the photos, much bigger than expected. Table tennis table a nice touch and whirlpool in the corner of the pool. Three washing machines (and tablets) available to use at any time. Ample basement parking. Close to grocery store and beach and main strip, would recommend. "

"Lovely property but I was extremely disappointed when I arrived to find out the sky bar was closed until 2025, this was not communicated prior to our stay and was not stated anywhere on the hotel listing prior to booking. The skybar was one of the main things that attracted us to the hotel when looking and had we known it wouldn’t be open we may have reconsidered this. "

"The hotel is lovely & check-in was very smooth. We did not realise, however, the hotel was closing on the Sunday & although we can appreciate staff looking forward to their holidays, service was quite lax (not unpleasant, just staff were mainly absent, something unexpected from a 5 Star hotel, where in every other area, they excelled) - this was both in the bar, in the restaurant; breakfast service, however, was excellent I do believe if we had known the hotel was closing, we would have changed...

"Pros: Very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: No room service, restaurant closes at 8 pm. No coffee machine in the room and I've never been to a hotel that doesn't provide at least 1 bottle of complimentary water per day before this hotel. Strange for the cost of a nights stary vs cost of a bottle of water. "

"A wonderful hotel! We spent up for an ocean view room to celebrate my husbands retirement. It was well worth it! The staff were amazing from check in on. A bottle of champagne was chilled and waiting and the morning staff and food choices were incredible in the Sea Gril. Of course champagne was on offer as was an assortment of plant based options along with fresh gluten free breads, cakes and cookies. The view on the deck is pure magic!"

"The hotel is well located. 20 min walking distance to old town. 10 min to various restaurants at the beach. A Michelin recommended good restaurant on site. The staff is friendly, especially Enrique at the front desk. The hotel room is clean but the bathroom is small, furniture and decor could be upgraded or renewed. "

"This is a wonderful place for a dream vacation. Unfortunately, we messed up our dinner choices for New Years and a few other nights. We didn’t realize that the Hotel had a sister property with more restaurants. We stayed at the better property but I wish that we had known about the sister property for New Years and more restaurant choices "

"The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located with easy access to train and metro and only 10 minutes walk to old town. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and there is daily room service. All areas are very clean and there is a good variety of food at breakfast. Lots of eating places nearby for other meals."

An amazing stay!

"Had a lovely one night stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself is so inviting. The room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool facilities were clean, warm and enjoyable. Breakfast was absolutely incredible. So much to choose from and constantly refilled. The hotel is walking distance from the train station, the centre and the beach. There are lots of lovely restaurants surrounding the area too. We will most definitely return to this hotel in future when we next visit Malaga. "

Great place to stay

"Had a great time at this large hotel. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Our room had recently been renovated and was spotlessly clean. The hotel is very close to the beach and an easy walk to bars and restaurants etc. Hotel bar has entertainment every evening which was very good and varied. Prices were reasonable and the staff were very efficient."

"Excellent 5 star hotel, wonderful room facilities that are maintained to very high standards, housekeeping to be commended. The hotel provides a very relaxing environment with great food options, breakfasts were delicious. Would like to see the outdoor swimming pool open throughout the year, it’s not enormous and could be easily be heated during the Winter period."

Holiday Inn Express Malaga Airport, an IHG Hotel

"It is in an industrial estate but it was only to sleep for one night close to the airport so not really a concern. I wouldn't book if travelling alone as it is in a dark place. From the airport the bus drops on the opposite side of the road and then you have to walk over a bridge which crosses the roads and then through a car hire place"
